Holiday Home Tour 2021: A Cozy, Festive Reveal

Hello, holiday lovers! I’m so excited to share my Holiday Home Tour for 2021! Decorating for the season is a tradition in our home, a time for making every corner shine with festive warmth. This year, I wanted to create a cozy, inviting atmosphere room by room, and I’m thrilled with the results. While my holiday decor might not have been fully ready before Thanksgiving (anyone else?), each detail has come together beautifully. So, let’s dive into this year’s festive tour, starting from the entryway and finishing with our family Christmas tree!

Holiday Decor Inspiration

Every holiday season, I start with a plan, drawing on inspiration from last year’s decor and looking at fresh trends for the coming year. But most importantly, I try to keep in mind the true meaning of the season: family, togetherness, and joy. My color palette this year is a blend of my all-time favorite green with rich textures and cozy neutrals. Think green, white, tan, and hints of red! Some of my must-haves included sweater-textured stockings in soft green and tan, snowy garlands, mini trees for the mantel, and plush pillows in faux fur, plaid, and classic holiday prints.

The Earthy Natural Materials Moodboard captures a cozy holiday vibe with an organic, festive palette. Shades of forest green, creamy white, warm tan, and subtle rustic accents create a grounded, inviting feel.

Central to the board are the Christmas stockings in earthy textures, including a soft green and white striped stocking, a white and green knit stocking, and a tan textured stocking for an extra layer of warmth. This mix of colors and textures is a nod to nature and complements the neutral and green tones used throughout the room

• Christmas Pillows – cozy plaid and lumbar pillows, like the green-and-white “Jingle” pillow (perfect for a cheerful touch) and soft faux-fur pillows in tan and cream.

• Christmas Garlands – snowy, lush garlands with hints of rusticity, creating a wintery forest feel.

A Glimpse of My Holiday Home Tour 2021 Living room

Holiday Home Tour 2021:Entryway

Let’s start with the entryway! This cozy spot got a quick holiday makeover, and while it’s still a work in progress, I couldn’t resist adding some festive charm. You’ll find a beautiful wreath above my DIY-painted French-inspired bench, topped with a green “Merry and Bright” pillow and a soft, striped black-and-white accent pillow. The little red mailbox labeled “Santa” adds a playful touch that sets the holiday mood right as you walk in.

Aside from everything else going on in this room, let’s talk about what’s right. I adore how cheerful it appears in this small place known as the entryway. Even the smallest details of Christmas make me happy.

What kind of Holiday Home Tour 2021 would it be if I didn’t begin with the entryway? I’m delighted I included this space, even though it is currently undergoing renovations.

As a result, this room is brimming with joy and happiness. I’m head over heels in love…

Living Room Magic

Welcome to the heart of our home! Thanks to a beautifully decorated fireplace and Christmas tree, our living room sparkles with holiday cheer. This year, I went with a mix of gold, clear glass bulbs, and faux palm ornaments for an elegant yet cozy vibe. The gold tree collar from Kirkland’s adds a touch of sophistication, tying into the room’s color scheme perfectly.

The mantel is adorned with lush garlands and mini trees from Hobby Lobby, creating a lush, layered look. I love how this mix of greenery and decor creates a warm, inviting feel without being overwhelming. Rustic details like my Studio McGee-inspired table setup add a little extra charm. It’s a cozy space, filled with holiday spirit! Kirkland’s gold tree collar to match our theme throughout our house 🤍

The fireplace mantel and the table display are both fantastic. This is a warm and inviting space. What about that giant, tiny tree? Don’t you adore this set’s rustic vibe?

In particular, I’m a fan of the table arrangement and the fireplace mantel. Cozy and warm describe this room to the letter. It’s hard to believe this tree is so little. You can’t help but fall in love with the rustic feel of this room.

This 2021 holiday tour appears to be a lot of fun. Last year, I purchased the Jingle pillow from  Kirkland’s They’ve done it before, and I’m sure they’ll do it again this year.

Our Christmas Tree

It wouldn’t be a Holiday Home Tour without the tree! In our family, placing the tree in a cozy corner of our living room rather than by the fireplace is tradition. This year, I kept the decor simple but stylish with gold and glass ornaments that glimmer against the green branches. While I haven’t added all the gift boxes underneath yet, I’m so happy with how it turned out. Sometimes, less is more when it comes to holiday decorating.
