Hello, beautiful friends! đ˝ď¸Â Before we dive into hosting season, I want to help you with Setting a Beautiful Table: I want to take you into one of my favorite parts of my dining room: my table setting. Whether you’re hosting for the holidays or simply enjoying a special dinner with loved ones, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere can elevate the experience for everyone. Today, Iâll walk you through the details of my moody luxe table settingâan aesthetic that I adore.
Letâs get into it!
A Moody Luxe Vibe: Bringing Elegance to Your Table

The theme for my dining room table setting is what I like to call Moody Luxe. Iâm all about those rich, deep tones with subtle hints of warmth and elegance. It’s dramatic, chic, and perfect for making my guests feel like theyâve entered a cozy yet luxurious dinner party.
While my dining room is striking, I want to shine a light on the table setting that pulls the whole room together. Trust me, itâs all about the small details!
Plates That Make a Statement

The dinnerware was a starting point for the tableâs design. Iâve had these stunning Stoneware Dinner Plates from Pier 1 for years, and they are still one of my favorite finds. Their black and white plaid pattern brings that moody vibe I love.
To complement them, I added Stoneware Side Plates from Pottery Barn. These beauties feature a delicate black and white floral pattern that seamlessly ties into the plaid. The mix-and-match element adds visual interest without overwhelming the design.
But I couldnât stop there! On top of the side plates, I placed small, black bowls with a white checkered pattern. These little details bring in some fun contrast and texture, keeping the table setting playful yet sophisticated.
Layering with Charger Plates

I used decorative wood slice chargers to anchor the plates. These chargers add warmth and a natural element to the table. The wood tones soften the bold black-and-white patterns, making the overall look inviting and balanced.
For something extra special, I placed Pedestal Mango Wood Rounded Serving Boards at the head of each table. These serve as a unique base for the plates and add height and dimension, making the setting feel even more luxurious.
Elegant Drinkware to Complete the Look

Whatâs a dinner table without some gorgeous drinkware? I selected gold-tipped wine glasses that I adore. Their sleek, elegant design makes them stand out even when used independently, but when combined with the rest of the setting, they shine.
The White Marble Coasters with Gold Edges from Kirklandâs add a finishing touch to the drinkware setup. These little touches help elevate the overall mood and make the table feel cohesive and polished.
Centerpiece & Table Decor: The Heart of the Table Setting

No table setting is complete without a stunning centerpiece. For this look, I opted for a large black potted vase filled with vibrant yellow-gold flowers. The bold black of the vase ties into the moody luxe theme, while the flowers add just the right pop of color and softness. Iâm not sure what these flowers are called, but they add fullness to the table and provide a perfect contrast to the darker elements.
Next to the vase, I placed tall gold candle holders from Kirklandâs. These pieces add height and elegance to the center of the table, without being over the top. I also included my favorite salt and pepper shakers from Pier 1. These little details are what make the table truly unique to me and reflect my style.
The Final Touch: Napkin Rings & Gold Accents

To finish off the look, I used gold napkin rings paired with soft napkins that are neatly tucked together with a small gold spoon. This small, thoughtful touch is both decorative and functional, adding a little sparkle without overwhelming the rest of the setting. Itâs all about those subtle details that tie everything together.
