The romance in design continues to shine in 2025. Picture scalloped edges on bedding, pillow shams, and even dining plates—these details exude elegance. Think mirrors with soft curves, bedding that feels luxurious, and accessories that whisper sophistication. This year, I’ll be incorporating these romantic silhouettes into my designs. Look out for an upcoming bedroom makeover featuring ruffled edges on pillows and bedding—a trend I’ve admired but am finally ready to embrace. Curated and intentional design

Wallpaper remains a favorite for 2025, particularly floral designs that balance trendiness with timeless elegance. Whether in entryways, bedrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, or kids’ spaces, wallpaper adds character and charm. I’ve previously shared my thoughts on Top Wallpaper Ideas for Home (check it out!), and I still believe in its power to transform a space.

Wallpaper was big in 2024 with its modern takes on updated patterns, styles, and application technology. Here are some rooms you guys can use as inspiration for your next home if you are thinking of using wallpaper. What do you guys think?

Scalloped edges, curvy legs, and rounded silhouettes on sofas and chairs are trends that continue to shine. Upholstered pieces in deep velvets bring a sense of luxury to these designs. If you’re not ready to fully commit, start small with a chair or ottoman. Custom options through an interior designer can ensure these pieces are perfect for your space. Below is a shop-the-look mood board for some of the furniture styles I mentioned in this post.

**”2025 Interior Design Trends are a celebration of individuality, blending timeless elegance with cutting-edge innovation. This year, design is stepping away from cookie-cutter aesthetics, encouraging homeowners to tell their unique stories through their spaces. From reimagining classic styles with modern twists to incorporating personal collections and statement pieces, the mantra is clear: Your home should reflect you. Expect to see rich, layered textures, bold patterns, and artful juxtapositions of old and new, creating spaces that are both stylish and deeply personal.”

Saturated Colors Take Center Stage

Rich, bold hues dominate the interior design landscape. Deep browns, reds, navies, and earthy greens create cozy, dramatic spaces. Years ago, I embraced these colors in my own home—from brick-red walls to richly colored rugs—and they’ve stood the test of time.

2025 Interior Design Trends

  • Experiment with textiles like throw pillows, area rugs, or drapery in shades of terracotta, deep teal, or mustard yellow to add subtle pops of color.
  • Introduce furniture pieces like a navy velvet armchair or a rust-colored ottoman to infuse character and warmth into your space. I love showing you in my own way how to create a look. Check out the

One of the standout trends for kitchens in 2025 is the embrace of moody, rich hues like deep plum. This kitchen exemplifies this trend with its stunning, deep plum cabinetry that adds a sense of sophistication and warmth. The cabinets are paired with sleek brass handles and accents, which bring a touch of luxury to the space. The kitchen island, topped with elegant white marble, provides a practical yet stylish focal point, perfect for both food preparation and casual dining. For 2025, try adding these hues through accent tables, lamp bases, wall art, or decor accessories. Or, go bold with color-blocking combinations like navy cabinets paired with rust-orange tiles. These rich palettes bring unexpected vibrancy and depth to any space.

Vignettes: A Trendy Approach

Not ready to commit to a full-room transformation? Try incorporating trends in small vignettes. Create a styled corner in your living room, or experiment with wall art that mixes vintage and modern elements. Add a trendy saturated hue for a pop of color. Design can be playful—test new ideas; if they don’t work, simply pivot. That’s the beauty of trends.

Welcome to my living room—I love it! As an interior designer, I find myself drawn to so many styles, which makes narrowing them down a real challenge. While I adore the Transitional style, I also have a soft spot for vintage pieces. But let’s be real—I’m not ready to commit to a fully vintage room. Instead, I’ve found a happy medium by dedicating a small corner or a gallery wall to vintage photos.

This approach lets me satisfy my love for vintage without feeling like I’m going all in—and you can do the same! Whether it’s a vintage gallery wall or a bold furniture choice, incorporating elements you love doesn’t mean you must overhaul your entire space.

For example, choosing a trending coffee table for 2025 could be your stylish centerpiece. It’s the perfect way to embrace what’s current while keeping the rest of your room timeless. What do you think?

Let’s look at some of my choices in my living room.  Shop the look

Pattern Pairing Perfection

One of my favorite design techniques is mixing and matching patterns. Repeating a wallpaper pattern in bedding or coordinating upholstery with a lampshade creates a cohesive and stylish look. Layering patterns add depth and interest to a room, making it feel thoughtfully curated.  2025 will have more Layered, decorative, and personality-filled spaces. Are you ready for that Larared and pattern-paring perfection? Here are some steps to get that perfect pairing look in your home

Steps for Pattern Pairing Perfection

Step 1: Choose a Color Palette
Start with a cohesive color palette as your foundation. Pick 2–3 main colors and 1–2 accent shades that work harmoniously. Keeping the colors consistent across your patterns will make the mix feel intentional rather than chaotic.

Step 2: Balance the Scale of Patterns
Pair patterns of different sizes to create visual interest and balance. For example, combine a bold, large-scale floral wallpaper with medium-scale geometric throw pillows and small-scale stripes on a lampshade or rug. This variation prevents the space from feeling overwhelming.

Step 3: Anchor with a Neutral Base
Ground the space by incorporating solid neutrals or textures that give the eye a place to rest. Neutral tones in furniture, walls, or larger accessories will act as a canvas that lets the patterns shine without competing for attention.

Bonus Tips:

  • Repeat one pattern in small doses across different elements, like bedding and curtains, to tie everything together.
  • Use similar materials or textures, such as linen or velvet, to unify the look.

With these steps, you’ll master the art of mixing patterns and create layered, personality-filled spaces that are as stylish as they are inviting!

Try trends in small doses, and if they resonate with you, embrace them wholeheartedly. The sky’s the limit—let’s make 2025 a year of inspired design!
