Be our guest. Come on in and put our service to the test!! Please accept our invitation. Come in and try out our services! That’s what they say at Disney, but have you ever asked people to stay the night in your home and invited them to rest in your guest room? My husband and I had the opportunity to do precisely that. But I can’t say it was a prearranged invitation, but they were clearly invited.
Buffalo, New York, saw an unexpected storm in October 2006. There was snow and all the leaves were still on the trees, and before we knew it, the storm had knocked down trees and electricity lines, leaving people in the dark with frigid homes and forced to deal with the surroundings of a sudden storm. It is known in history as “The October Storm.”
How many people can you fit in just one Guest Room?
To shorten a long story, my husband and I were the only ones in our family who had light, heat, and a television. Wow, how did we get to be so fortunate? It turns out that it was God’s plan all along to help those who were less fortunate. First and foremost, I’m not sure how to make this narrative any shorter, but we invited 15 other people to join us. And guess what? In the entire house, we just had one guest room and one bathroom. Oh, my goodness, how did we do it? My parents were fortunate since they were the ones who got precedence. They were the only ones who were able to spend four days in this guest room. Furthermore, even though my parents had the greatest room in the home, everyone in the family felt welcomed and at ease.

How we delivered outstanding hospitality?
Mark and I were able to provide excellent hospitality to all the family members that visited us, and we even kept the toilet clean. We are, after all, neat freaks, and it helps that my mother is as well. When someone goes to the bathroom, one of us will follow behind them and make sure we clean up after them.
I know that sounds a little extreme, but cleaning the bathroom was essential to ensuring everyone’s comfort. So that’s how I managed to keep 15 members of my family happy in our home.
Look at the shot of the storm, then look at the guestroom where my parents had the pleasure of staying. Secondly, have a look at the other inspiring and beautiful guest rooms I found.

My folks remained in this guest room during the storm. This room was fully equipped with robes and coffee mugs for their morning cup of joe.

I suppose the guest was more comfortable than I was at times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Here are the amenities to which they were invited. Coffee, bathrobe, TV, and a desk to set the laptop on are all provided. It was as though there had been no storms outside.
To conclude,
Bedrooms, in my opinion, should be relaxing and warm with a touch of elegance. I hope my parents felt the same way when they stayed in our guest room all those nights in the midst of a storm. Do you want to spruce up your guest bedroom? We are eager to assist. You can get in touch with us here and here.
So please let me know what you think. Are you a fantastic guest host? What were you up to during the storm in October? Until next time
xoxo
