DIY Wall File Organizer let’s make it a stylish and fashionable home office organizer. Additionally, utilize it in a location other than your home office. It is all up to you.
I haven’t attempted a do-it-yourself project in a long time. Years ago, I maintained a Blogger blog and attempted to complete some do-it-yourself projects for my readers. However, because I was not particularly skilled at it, I didn’t do it frequently. In 2014, I resolved to take action. I made over a small file cabinet myself and was really proud of it. This was a do-it-yourself wall file organizer. As a result, I’ve decided to share it with you on my new blog.
It’s not particularly elegant, but I believe it’s a cute concept. To be honest, DIY is not my forte, but I occasionally dabble. And, as is customary, I’ll share what I’ve revealed with you.
Therefore, let us begin.
With This Technique, You Can Make a Stylish and Fashionable Wall File cabinet for Your Home Office
Are you one of those people who work in a trendy office but has worn out some of your accessories?
When you have a stylish home office, you can’t afford to have office supplies that are unattractive or made of cheap materials. Why not spruce up some old items and make them fashionable and hip once more? You’ll have less clutter, more opportunities to enjoy your prized possessions, and everything will be within easy reach.
So, my friends here’s a quick and easy DIY project that will help you do just that.
Is there an outdated filing cabinet in your home that needs to be updated?
Spray paint, white glue for preparing the decoupage mixture, and scrapbook paper of your choice are all you’ll need to finish the file cabinet, and voila! I completed a little weekend project.
Tools and materials:
- A wall-mounted file cabinet organizer
- Knife or scissors for crafts
- Remains of scrapbook paper or wallpaper
- All-purpose white glue, such as Yes paste
- Water to mix with the glue
- Use a cheap paintbrush to wipe the glue on
How-To:
- Using a moist cloth, remove all dirt from the filing cabinet.
- Spray paint the file cabinet in the color of your choice.
- Scrapbook paper should be cut.
- Combine the all-purpose glue and water; 50% glue and 25% water; less water than glue.
So, without further ado, let us begin with the DIY Wall File Organizer.

Before and After

Here’s a before shot of the file cabinet and sides!

Here is the scrapbooking paper I chose for the file organizer. I think it’s pretty stylish and all-around fun-looking.

A closer look at the paper, but of course, choose what you think is nice.

1) Begin with a plain filing cabinet, of course, and buy a can of 2). Spray paint from Rust-Oleum

Before spraying, shake the spray paint thoroughly and wear a face mask.

What a difference even a small amount of paint can make!

Make sure there are no brush hairs and use ordinary glue and water. A foam brush may be more effective.

To clean the surface, you’ll need a towel.

White glue and water mix.

It’s time to get down to business! Hands hard at work! On top of the paper, apply a thin layer of white glue and water mixture. After it dries, the white glue will no longer be visible.

Hey, who is that lovely lady? My little one is working hard! She assisted me in finishing this project! Thank you, sweetheart.

And you believed I was the one who was doing all the effort! Busted!

Excellent work, Mariah.

This is really a fun project to do with your child. It’s easy and fun. Spending quality time with your family, remember, is an investment in them.
Break it down into 8 parts.

1. Paper for scrapbooking (no. 1) 2. Paint the filing cabinet with spray paint. 3. You don’t need to paint the sides because they’ll be covered with paper. 4. a mixture of white glue and water 5. It’s time to cut your paper. 6. Dip your paintbrush into the mixture and begin wiping it across the surface. 7. Use a less-than-ideal brush. 8. Wala its completed

The prep went on without a hiccup. As a result, I have a pretty nice file organizer.

Before and after pictures! Now all I have to do is find a home for it.
Here is another cool way to use glue on surfaces. Check out this video here.
Have you ever covered something with scrapbook paper and given it a new life? Have you ever considered giving it a go? What do you think about the DIY Wall File Organizer? In the comments section below, please tell me what you think. To be completely transparent, I took these photos almost eight years ago. Additionally, the little girl in the photo (my daughter) is now a college student. Happy DIYing.
Until Next time,
xoxo
