How to Create a Bathroom Design Budget for an average size bathroom?

Guys, I am not an expert in budgeting. But, having constructed a few bathrooms, both large and small, I believe I can shed some light on the topic. Firstly, I would like to speak a little about the size of the space you have to construct a bathroom. Even if your bathroom isn’t as big as others, it can cost as much. However, master bathrooms are usually more expensive to refurbish due to their size and potential resale value. To put it another way, size counts, but so does what you want to do in that restroom. Consider the following scenario: you have a small bathroom and want to relocate the plumbing and renovate the space. These are the factors that influence the pricing.
A Budget Breakdown for a Small size Bathroom Design that does not require any actual construction.

What can increase the cost of a small size bathroom? The cost of construction, contractors, and removing the plumbing will account for a significant portion of the total.
These are the items that can blow your budget out of the water. Here is an overview of how much you can expect to pay for a medium-sized bathroom job.
A medium-sized job typically costs between $5,000 and $10,000. This room may contain the following:
- Walls that have been freshly painted and/or new wallpaper
- Upgrades to faucets, toilets, and vanities
- Renovation of the flooring and lighting
- Perhaps an interior designer’s design assistance.
Mid-sized bathrooms may cost a little more.

Painting the walls, installing a new bathtub or shower, or simply working within the footprint of your original layout can all be done in an average-sized bathroom. This is considered a standard-sized bathroom. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect to pay for a pretty standard bathroom.
Average Job Costs: $15,000-$20,000. The following items may be included in a mid-sized bathroom remodel:
- Newly painted walls and/or wallpaper,
- installation of a new vanity
- Putting in a new bathtub or shower
- Faucets, floors, and lights have all been updated.

- Investing in the services of an interior designer
Finally the Master bathroom

We all know that the master bathroom can be a huge deal for the home and the homeowners, so we can usually go all out for one. If you were going to invest in a bathroom, this would be the one. Master bathrooms may necessitate changes to the plumbing and layout. As a result, it may be much more expensive. Furthermore, changing the footprint of the bathroom will incur additional costs. Here’s a breakdown of how much you can spend on a master bathroom.
Between $30,000 and $50,000 or higher is the typical cost of work. The following items may be included in a master bathroom remodel:
- Installing new cabinets/possibly adding a double vanity
- Replacing faucets
- Installing a frameless glass shower enclosure and/or a soaking tub

- New paint or wallpaper or both
Cost-Effective Features that can affect the cost of your bathroom
To begin, this is simply a rough estimate of how much money you’ll need to spend on a bathroom remodel. To put it another way, the cost is influenced by a variety of factors. As a result, you should think about all parts of the design. I understand that when trying to design a bathroom, the first thing that comes to mind is all of the lovely options. Above all, and most importantly, we must think about the price and the characteristics that are the most expensive. Here are a few examples of features that may have an impact on your overall budget.
Features to consider
- Removing of walls
- Rerouting the plumbing
- Design hinderers/ radiators/ clothing shoots just to name a few
- New Soaker tub/ clawfoot tub
- Walk-in shower/ Glass doors
- Custom cabinetry/ if you want to custom it’s going to cost you more
- New countertops/ slabs stone quarts and so forth are going to put more into the budget.
- Adding walls
- opening it up
- Adding a door to connect a room
- Sinks: Pedestal sinks, drop-in sinks, and fancy styles all cost different amounts. Most of the time, drop-in sinks are a cheap option that comes in a variety of styles.
- New tile! Wall tile will make a difference but can be a lot of money
- New floors
- Electrical
- Some people might need a place to put towels if there isn’t enough space in their sink cover. This, too, might need custom cabinetry.
Above all, remember to include the small details in your bathroom design budget.
For instance, you will need the little things that we don’t think about until we’re almost done. I know when I did my bathroom years ago, I forgot to add a soap holder to my tiled wall. As a result, it still bothers me to this day. How do I get around that? I actually had to buy one that was not attached. However, if I had thought it out a bit more, that wouldn’t have been off the list. Therefore, here are a few small details to remember
- toilet paper holder
- towel bar rack
- A SOAP HOLDER for your bathtub
- Grab Bars
- Tub/Shower Liner
